Stephanian Ottery AFC’s Memorable Season in the Cape Town Tygerberg League

Stephanian Ottery AFC has experienced a noteworthy season in the Cape Town Tygerberg League, achieving commendable success across various age groups and categories. This year, our mini teams, consisting of age groups U7 to U10, showcased their budding talents in the Green Zone. A highlight for our young athletes was hosting the U10 Green Zone World Cup, a thrilling event won by FC Kaapstad.

Our girls’ teams have also made significant strides, with the U16 team proudly clinching the league title. This achievement underscores the dedication and skill of our young female athletes and the excellent coaching they have received. Additionally, our junior teams celebrated promotion to Premier Two, setting their sights on advancing to Premier One by 2026.

The U23 team had a stellar season, emerging victorious in the Knockout Final, while our O50A team claimed the league title, further adding to our club’s accomplishments.

Recognizing our innovative coaching methods and commitment to community involvement, Stephanian Ottery AFC was honored with the prestigious Coaching Innovation Award and the Social Engagement of the Year Award by the league. These accolades reflect our dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive football environment.

To crown a season filled with remarkable achievements, we celebrated the club’s 100th anniversary with a grand Gala Dinner, bringing together the community to commemorate a century of rich history and shared successes.
