The 100-year Gala Dinner – Stephanian Ottery AFC

On Saturday 23rd November 2024, Stephanian Ottery celebrated its centennial milestone with a grand Gala Dinner at the opulent Podium Banquet Hall. The evening began with a red carpet welcome for esteemed guests, including alumni, community leaders, and dignitaries who had gathered to honor a century of legacy and achievements.

The hall, adorned with elegant decor reflecting the club’s colour’s of red, black, and white, buzzed with excitement and nostalgia. As the attendees mingled, they shared fond memories and stories of their time at the club, creating a warm, familial atmosphere.The program commenced with stirring speeches from the Mayor of Cape Town, the Life Member and Former Chairman, and the Club Chairman, each highlighting the institution’s journey over the past 100 years and paying tribute to the members and staff who had shaped its history.

As the night drew to a close, a toast was raised to the next 100 years, with hopes of continued excellence and impact. The Gala Dinner was a perfect blend of reflection and celebration, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and connection to our beloved club.
