Stephs Share the Spoils with Ruyterwacht on a Cold Winter's Day

Stephanian Ottery AFC welcomed Ruyterwacht to the Clubhouse on Saturday for an important day of league action, with our loyal supporters once again turning out in numbers despite the cold and windy conditions.

The winter weather may have been challenging, but it did little to dampen the spirit around the club as both our First Reserve and First Division teams took to the field determined to put in strong performances.

First Reserve Continue Winning Ways

The action got underway at 2pm when our First Reserve side faced off against their Ruyterwacht counterparts. Stephs produced a disciplined and energetic display, creating several scoring opportunities throughout the match.

Their efforts were rewarded with a well-deserved 3-1 victory, securing valuable points and providing a perfect start to the afternoon for the home supporters.

First Division Earns a Hard-Fought Point

The First Division match followed and proved to be a closely contested affair. Both teams battled fiercely in the difficult windy conditions, with neither side willing to give an inch.

Stephs showed great determination and resilience throughout the encounter and eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw against a competitive Ruyterwacht outfit. While the victory eluded the home side, the result ensured that another important point was added to the tally.
