Stephs saw a weekend of mixed results across various divisions as they battled it out against strong competition.

U12 Stephs A vs Nova Nacional

In the Under-12 category, Stephs A delivered an emphatic 5-1 victory over Nova Nacional, while Stephs B and C struggled against Sunningdale, falling 3-0 and 4-1 respectively. The Under-14 division saw a hard-fought 2-2 draw between Stephs A and Nova Nacional, but Stephs B faced a tough outing against Sunningdale, suffering a 5-0 loss.

The Under-16 and Under-18 divisions both saw Stephs A edge out Nova Nacional with identical 2-1 victories, demonstrating resilience and determination.

Meanwhile, in the veterans' categories, the Over-40 division had a standout performance with Stephs securing a 4-0 triumph over Bellville. However, the Over-45 side struggled against Hanover Park, conceding a heavy 10-2 defeat. The Over-50 fixture between Lansdowne and Stephs B ended in a goalless stalemate.

Elsewhere, the Sixth Division match against Hanover Park was called off due to a no-show by Park. In the senior divisions, First Reserve edged Avendale in a narrow 2-1 win, while the First Division clash between the same clubs ended in a 1-1 draw.

Despite some setbacks, Stephs displayed moments of brilliance and determination across the board. The club will look to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures as they continue to push for strong performances.
